AGS CERTIFIED #10159. DSP. Sign is Dated February 1940. A well displaying example of this highly sought after Sign from Signal Gasoline showing red & black Stop Light graphic with unique Signal colors. A product of Signal Oil Company, Los Angeles, California. CONDITION: Side one shows excellent color & gloss int he red & yellow with some minor discoloration in the black porcelain. Side one shows very minimal chipping in the inner & outer field with some minor areas of surface scratching present. Side one shows moderate mounting hole chipping with one added hole at the top edge, (Score 80). Side two also shows excellent color & gloss in the yellow & red with dullness in the black in some areas. Side two shows two areas of touched up chips as well as a heavier touch up at the lower edge under the "SO" of Gasoline. The mounting holes show areas of chipping as well as some minimal edge chipping, (Score 74).
