Nice example of a Riffe Models aluminum Trans World Airlines L-1049G Super Constellation ashtray. The ashtray model was made in Shawnee Mission, Kansas by Riffe Models and is marked as such on under the base. This example exhibits a recognition plaque on the front of the ashtray which reads "P.B. WOLVERTON / 15 YEARS SERVICE / TWA / OCT. 6, 1942 (space) OCT. 7, 1957". Wolverton appears in the September 26, 1957 issue of the TWA Skyliner Magazine, where he is commemorated for his service with TWA. The ashtray was most likely a gift from his superiors. Constructed of aluminum, the model's fuselage is painted to represent a TWA Super Constellation with signature white paint and red stripes complimented by the TWA logo. N-Number "N8650" and "TWA" decals applied to each wing. All four clear plastic simulated propellers are in place. The plane measures approximately 8" tall with 10" wingspan. Paint has yellowed, with areas of cracks and chips. Decals remain legible. Scattered blemishes throughout. Model wobbles when handled.

Condition: (Good).

Item Dimensions: 9 - 3/4" x 9 - 3/4" x 7".
