AGS CERTIFIED #10319. DSP. An incredibly scarce as well as unique piece of C. 1920's Porcelain Service Station Signage for Shell showing "Air For Balloon Tires" throughout the field of each side. Most likely the only known example of this Sign. CONDITION: Side one presents very well showing a clean field with very good color & gloss showing no chipping in the inner field. Side one shows areas of age staining and discoloration near the mounting holes as well as heavy chipping along the entire outer edge, (Score 80). Side two also presents very well showing only one minimal nick in the field but shows areas of lower gloss and stains present. Side two shows mounting hole chipping as well as heavier chipping along the entire outer edge, (Score 75). An incredibly rare piece of Service Station Signage from Shell.
