AGS CERTIFIED #10006. DSP. An incredibly clean and well displaying example of one of the most iconic Signs in Gas & Oil advertising. This C. 1930's piece from Sinclair features an outstanding Airplane graphic on each side as well as Sinclair script with red background. Sign features heavy shelving between each color with "Orange Peel" like porcelain surface. CONDITION: Side one is overall outstanding showing excellent color & gloss throughout thew field with only a minimal amount of inner field wear. Side one shows three minor nicks in the outer field as well as some minimal areas of surface scratching. Side one shows some minor factory flaws in the heavy porcelain as well as some minimal wear at the mount holes. Side one shows nicks along the entire outer edge but overall displays very well, (Score 88). Side two also shows exceptional color & gloss throughout with some minimal areas of light surface scratching in the field as well as only one minor chip in the "A" of Aircraft. Side two also shows some areas of factory fill in the porcelain as well as some minimal mounting hole wear. Side two shows light nicks along the entire outer edge but is not distracting from he piece, (Score 87). An incredibly clean and well displaying example of this iconic piece from Sinclair.
