AGS CERTIFIED #10182. DSP. A very rare and tough-to-find piece of porcelain advertising from Signal Oil Company, featuring unique Signal colors throughout each side with “Diesel Fuel” written in bold script across each side. CONDITION: Side one of the sign exhibits excellent color but shows some moderate surface scratching in the field. Two areas of touched-up chips are visible in the outer right field, as well as moderate chipping at the top right and left edges. The mounting holes of side one are in very good condition showing only minimal wear, (Score 85). Side two shows good gloss and color, but shows heavy surface scratching throughout the field. There are areas of chipping at the outer left with heavy chipping at the right and lower edges. Sign shows some light chipping at the mounting holes, (Score 75). Although the piece shows some wear and imperfections, the sign displays well and is a rare example of Signal Oil Company advertising.
