AGS CERTIFIED #10076 & 10077. Sign is Maker Marked Federal Brilliant Co. An outstanding piece of Porcelain & Neon Packard Automobile Advertising. Two Single Sided Porcelain Two Piece Signs mounted back to back on what appears to be the original metal can. Sign shows outstanding red, white & blue neon throughout the lettering and border. CONDITION: Side one is overall excellent showing outstanding color & gloss throughout the field with rich red & blue porcelain. Side one shows some very minimal surface scratches as well as some very minimal insulator hole wear showing light touch up at the top two insulator holes. Sign shows some very minimal edge wear where the two signs join in the lower field. Side one shows some moderate touch up along the outer edges but overall an absolutely brilliant displaying example, (Score 90). Side two also shows phenomenal color & gloss throughout the field showing deep coloring in the red & blue with only a minimal amount of light rain discoloration in a few spots as well as some faint surface scratches. Side two shows some light touch up at the top and bottom insulator holes as well as some minimal chipping where the two pieces meet in the lower field. Side two also shows a moderate amount of touch up along the outer edge at the top and bottom with some minor touch ups near the mounting holes. The field is extremely clean and overall side two displays excellent, (Score 88). Signs are mounted on their original metal can which has been repainted in black and shows original iron brackets for hanging. One of the finer examples of this sign that we have sold and an outstanding piece of Packard Automobile advertising.
