AGS CERTIFIED #10078. SSP. An outstanding displaying piece of highly sought after Porcelain Service Station Neon Signage for Mohawk Gasoline showing iconic Native American profile graphic with bright red & white glowing neon. A product of Mohawk Petroleum Corporation, Bakersfield, California. CONDITION: Sign is overall excellent showing very good color throughout the field with some minor areas of dullness in the gloss but nothing that is overly distracting. Sign shows some factory flaw overspray of white in some of the black porcelain but is not overly distracting. Sign shows light areas of chalking present at the insulator holes as well as some light areas of wear and minimal chipping at the stanchion mounts and around insulators. Sign shows minimal chipping at just a couple of the mounting holes with a clean outer edge showing just minor wear, (Score 87). Sign is mounted on what appears to be the original metal can which has been repainted in black and shows a new back placed onto it. Overall a very well displaying example of this highly sought after piece from Mohawk Gasoline.
