Trout mezzo that features a 23 - 1/2" brook trout with a white and red dry fly in its mouth mounted on a wooden oval plaque that measures 29" x 15". This famous method of preserving trophy fish was patented by John Waldo Nash of Maine in the early 1900s. Written below the fish is "Nash of Maine". The back has hanging string attached to metal loops nailed to the plaque. Written on the back worn section reads "Restored by David A. Footer / 151 Goldet Rd. Lewiston ME 783-3501 / #5927-09 / 2009". Metal tag on rear has the numbers 5927. CONDITION: Excellent condition with having been restored and painted.
