The Law of Evidence. By the late Lord Chief Baron Gilbert. Published in 1738. This is a Fifth Edition, corrected; with Many Additions; and a Compleat Table to the Whole. London Printed, and Re-Printed in Philadelphia by Joseph Crukshank. Hardcover, hand bound leather. Provenance: the property of Elisha Litchfield. CONDITION: Heavy foxing throughout, page separation from binding, water stain marks. The hand bound hardcover is still in a very good condition with considerable age and use related wear.
