AGS CERTIFIED #10418. DSP. An excellent displaying example of this Porcelain Service Station Sign from Frontier Gasoline showing excellent Cowboy graphic with "Rarin' To Go" slogan. Sign is mounted in its original ring with post, both of which have been nicely repainted in white. CONDITION: Side one is overall very good showing excellent color & gloss throughout but does shows a large strip of chipping running down the center that has been nicely color matched as well as numerous outer field chips that have been touched up nicely. Side one shows light chips at the right lower edge and overall displays well, (Score 81). Side two also shows very good color & gloss with a large crease chip along the center that shows nicely done touch up. Side two shows minor chipping and surface scratching in the outer field with chipping at the lower left edge, (Score 79). There is one small hole added along the upper edge near the ring insert which is nearly unnoticeable. The piece displays very well in its original ring and pole and is a great example of early American Gas & Oil advertising.
