This is the ONLY Mauser broomhandle Schnellfeuer Machine Pistol in original 9mm Parabellum that this cataloger has ever encountered. Tom Nelson's book on machine pistols lists 4 other "observed" specimens; not very many for a 6-year production timespan. This would have been a "special order" item in 9mm Parabellum, and uses magazines slightly modified from the standard 7.63 Mauser to accommodate the shorter length cartridge. This is the "Westinger model" as described in Tom Nelson's book. Don't miss this incredible opportunity to own this singular piece. Includes Mauser logo on left side of the receiver behind the selector switch as well as typical ”WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER OBERNDORF A. NECKAR D.R.P.u.A.P.” with typical crown over "U" and Mauser marking over chamber. Includes original Mauser banner marked wood stock and 2 original 9mm parabellum 10-round magazines. This fast-firing pistol has a cyclic rate of 800-1100 rounds per minute when fired in fully automatic mode. These select-fire pistols were manufactured and marketed worldwide, primarily for police and government use. Think of how intimidating this would be to an unruly crowd of "anarchists". Police were trained to turn them on their sides when contemplating "crowd control", as this harnessed the muzzle climb to advantage. Electronic NFA registry indicates “Mauser” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is fine to extremely fine original finish thinning to a smooth blue and gray patina finish with more loss of finish at the high edges, with some slight scratches to the barrel. Grips are extremely fine with some handling marks. Stock is also extremely fine with numerous handling marks and slight bruises. Fit of stock onto pistol is snug and positive just exactly as is best. Bore has strong shiny rifling with some frosting to the grooves. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. This cataloger always wanted to find a select-fire broomhandle in the common 9mm Parabellum chambering. Wish there were more out there. This specimen is fit for the most discerning and forward-thinking collector/investor. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2023-9-49
