DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Ingram Richardson. Very rare and early C. 1920's Porcelain Flange Sign for Marchant Overalls showing excellent bold script with deep cobalt blue porcelain. CONDITION: Side one shows outstanding color & gloss with no areas of field chipping. Side one shows some areas of surface scratch in the gloss as well as some minor chipping along the outer edge, Grade 8.9+. Side two also shows excellent color & gloss throughout the field showing only one minimal nick above the "O" of Overalls. Side two shows some surface scratching in the gloss as well as some minimal edge chips but overall excellent and well displaying, Grade 8.9+. Sign shows an outstanding condition flange with chip free mounting holes and very limited edge wear. An outstanding example of this very rare Workwear Flange, one of few known examples.
