German made classic Drilling by Hermann Schneider, Zella-Mehlis, Germany in 1939. Blued 25 - 1/2" Bohler steel barrels, 16-gauge over 8x57JR, with line engraved breeches, matted sight plane, extractors, bead blade front sight, tang switch-controlled flip down notch rear sight, and fitted with claw mounts. Coin finished action with heavy oak and game scene engraving, side clips and double triggers (front set). Gun has horn trigger guard and top tang barrel selector, cocking indicators, Greener style side safety and crossbolt. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with cheekpiece, horn checkered buttplate, heavy oak leaf engraved steel grip cap, and steel bullet trap. Matching checkered walnut splinter forearm with latch release. CONDITION: 90% original blue with balance a silvery patina, 85% original action finish, 65% original wood finish with usage marks. Good bores and mechanics.
