Born out of necessity, the Sten family of submachine guns saw extensive use with England and its Commonwealth forces throughout World War II, largely owing to its ease of manufacture and low production cost. This example is stamped "ENGLAND" at the rear of the receiver, while the magazine housing is stamped "STEN MK II" over the top and "FL & Co LTD" followed by the serial number on the bottom. Metal components exhibit a matte black enamel finish. Buttstock retains a Sten pattern cleaning rod. Complete with 1 32-round stick magazine. NFA Registry lists "ENGLISH or B FIREARMS CO INC, NEW YORK N" in the manufacturer block and "STENMKII" in the model block. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their matte black enamel finish, exhibiting areas of wear and scattered handling marks overall that show through to gray patina. Very bright bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
