Steve Hoel made his first knife in 1953. In 1974, Hoel worked with Bob Loveless and Steve R. Johnson for 3 days, learning about high-end custom knives. In 1978 he joined the Knifemakers Guild and a year later was making knives full time. 2 - 1/2" blade folder featuring a sheep's foot blade and a drop point blade. Grips scales are Mother of Pearl with engraved bolsters featuring images of a leopard on left side and a lion on right, gold washed and engraved by Master Engraver Ron Skaggs. CONDITION: Excellent+ and near mint, with blades bright, grips showing no major sign of distress, engraving sharp, and virtually all of the gold wash remaining.
