Per the included factory letter, this example was made by Colt Firearms in 1925, shipped to the Camp Perry Loan Account, returned to the factory, and sent to Tritch Hardware Company of Denver, Colorado. Included is research on Tritch Hardware, a prominent hardware store in Denver. The gun has a blued floral factory engraved slide with Colt address and patents on the left side, "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE 25" on the right, a standard grooved sight plane, and typical cocking serrations. Factory floral engraved blued frame with case hardened trigger and grip safety. Comes with factory Colt pearl grips and Colt factory marked 2-tone magazine. Also included is a factory purple cardboard box marked "ENGRAVED" with original paperwork and cleaning brush, fitted red felt lined "COLT" marked leatherette case, and Colt factory letter. PROVENANCE: Richard "Dick" Burdick Collection. CONDITION: 98% original blue with sharp engraving and light edge wear, most noticeable at the muzzle. 98% vivid case colors with grips in excellent condition. Excellent bore and mechanics.
