Lot consists of 2 original hinged top factory boxes for Colts: (A) End label for a blued 7 - 1/2" .44-40 Single Action. Small period sticker typed "PEARL" for stocks. Box also retains an original "ENGRAVED" sticker running from the end flap unto the lid, indicating factory engraving. Box is numbered "356967" on the bottom along with the date "July 21 / 40". Paper-wrapped cleaning brush and Shooting Suggestions pamphlet are retained inside. CONDITION: Very good overall. Some edgewear and separation of one lid corner present. (B) End label for a 5 - 1/2" .44 overlaid for a blued Single Action with rubber grips. A loose original "SPECIAL" sticker which appears to have been affixed above the end label is present, loose inside the box. Numbered "356246" on the underside in grease pencil. Box has 2 pieces of period sealing tape from Sloan's Sporting Goods of New York. PROVENANCE: Richard "Dick" Burdick collection. CONDITION: Very good with some expected edgewear. An excellent pair of hard to find Colt accessories, a must have for anyone with a loose factory engraved 7 - 1/2" SAA.
