Iconic configuration of one of the most popular 5.56x45mm machine guns, equipped with a 13" barrel with flash hider, blade front sight, aperture rear sight, vented composite forearm, wooden stock, checkered polymer pistol grip, folding stock. 40 round magazine. The AC-556 is a select fire machine gun with settings for semi-automatic, 3 round burst, and fully automatic fire. Initially designed for civilian sales and the U.S. Navy, the AC-556 found a surprisingly strong market with the French Gendarmerie, among other police units. CONDITION: Overall good, retaining the vast majority of the finishes to metal, with some scattered losses from handling and use, most noticeable at rear sight hood. Stock is very good with no cracks or splits and some minor handling marks. Polymer furniture with some superficial scratches but solid. Mechanically fine, breech face is bright with some haloing from use, and bore has strong rifling. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4.
