An iron-clad single-guard bellbottom made by the Steam Gauge & Lantern Co. in Syracuse. The bayonet base is correct for this model and has a No. 1 Callendar burner affixed. "WEST SHORE" is lightly embossed on the lid reflector. The flashed red No. 39 extended base globe is embossed "WEST SHORE" in serif font with below-average relief. The globe is cracked from top to bottom through "WEST." The lantern shows an old restoration with light surface rust coming through an old overcoat.
