A No. 11 Adams & Westlake steel guard double-guard wire-bottom railroad lantern with smaller insert fount and No. 1 ratchet burner affixed. "S.P.L.A & S.L.R.R." is embossed in the lid reflector. The chimney shows a few minor dents. The metal is mostly smooth with significant tin plating intact. The signal green No. 39 extended base globe is embossed "SPLA&SLRR" in above-average relief and is badly cracked in many places, with evidence that pieces were glued back together. The unit is intact. Color translucence is very good.
