A Dressel model 1143 double-guard wire-bottom lantern with insert fount and No. 2 ratchet burner. "D&H Co." is embossed on a tag affixed to the side of the chimney. The wire bail with wooden handle is not original to this lantern. The base is bent out of round. The lantern shows a dark, dirty patina, with little rust. The apple green No. 39 Dietz Vulcan extended base globe is not RR marked.
