A C T Ham No. 39 double-guard bellbottom lantern with bayonet base and No. 1 ratchet burner affixed. The base is correct for this model and is stuck on the frame. "The D. & H. Co." is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. The flashed red No. 39 extended base globe is embossed "The D&H" in average relief. There is a 3" crack in the back and several minor fitter flakes. The lantern shows light surface rust on dark patina, with no significant pitting.
