An early Wm Porter's Sons double guard model made to ERIE specifications ca. 1875. "E. RY. Co." is embossed in the brass cap. The cap is pushed in a little and could be straightened easily by a competent restorer. There is a light patent stamp on the lid reflector that includes 1867 and other dates not readable. The frame has been cleaned and is real nice. The three-tab plug-in fount is complete with a shrouded Sangster light oil burner. The bail needs to be straightened and re-looped on the left side. The clear globe is a perfect, skinny "ERIE" barrel, heavily embossed and showing little sign of RR use.

Condition: (Very Good).

Item Dimensions: 6" x 6" x 10 - 1/2".
