An early brass-top No. 6 model made by the Railroad Signal, Lamp and Lantern Co., nicely marked "D & H C Co." This size is unusual for the D&H. The bayonet base is correct for this model, has 1875 patent date lightly stamped underneath, and has a No. 1 ratchet burner affixed. The globe is a beautiful signal green extended base example, 6" tall, and is not marked for RR. The lantern has light surface rust here and there, and could use a competent cleaning. The globe shows little RR use.
