An Armspear No. 39 Steel Guard model; "N C RY" is lightly embossed on the lid reflector. The bayonet fount is correct for this model and has a no. 2 ratchet burner affixed. The clear, no. 39 extended base globe is nicely embossed "N C R" in block font. The lantern shows light to medium rust, with no significant pitting or perforation noted. The globe show little sign of RR use.
