An 1882 patent, beehive top bell bottom model made by the Adams & Westlake Co. "WEST SHORE" is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. The bayonet base is correct for this model, has a no. 2 ratchet burner affixed, and shows a faint A&W patent stamp underneath. The base is slightly stoved but the lantern sits flat and without wobble. The lantern shows a medium patina overall with light surface etch. The clear, no. 39 extended base globe is nicely embossed "WEST SHORE" in small serif font. It shows little RR wear.
