A nickel plated no. 39 conductor's model made by the Buffalo Steam Gauge & Lantern Co. The frame has early keyhole vent filigree The brass is in great condition with no stress cracks noted. The bayonet base is correct for this model and has two 1871 patent dates stamped underneath, with a no. 1 ratchet callendar burner affixed. The clear no. 39 extended base globe is embossed "E R R CO" in serif font and there is much engraving. Above the panel "WMT" is engraved in a fancy surround. On the top portion there is a frosted area with a nice delicate border below. On the back there is a six-axle passenger coach engraved in nice detail. The embossed letters have been etched to go with the engravings. This is a great looking globe, and the frame is real nice.
