A C T Ham No. 39 brass-top bellbottom, nicely embossed "D & H. C. Co." on the lid reflector. The brass top is embossed "No. 39 Railroad." This double-guard model has the correct bayonet base, with a No. 2 ratchet burner affixed. The flashed red No. 39 extended base globe is beautifully embossed "D & H C Co." in serif font. There are numerous fitter chips from RR use. There is some swirl light scratching on the inside from cleaning. Color translucence is good, and this unit displays very well. The metal shows a nice aged-earned patina, with a small amount of light surface rust here and there. There appears to be some kind of coating on the lantern.
