A No. 39 wire-bottom double-guard lantern made by C T Ham. "Erie R R" is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. The bayonet fount is correct for this model and has a No. 2 ratchet burner affixed. The signal green No. 39 extended base globe is nicely embossed "E R R Co" in serif font with average relief. Color translucence is a little on the dark side. The globe is cracked from the top in two places behind the left seam. The frame shows a dark aged-earned patina, with no significant rust and an old overcoat.
