An early No. 6 double-guard fixed-base lantern made in the New York Central pattern by the Kelly Lamp Co. of Rochester, but not hallmarked. "N Y C & H R R" is nicely embossed on the lid reflector. There has been some minor repair to the air baffle inside the chimney. The plug-in fount is correct for this model, and has a No. 1 twin-tube whale oil burner affixed, and shows a few pinholes in the bottom. The red flashed 6" globe is nicely embossed "N Y C & H R R" in block font. There is some cloudiness on the left side above the base fitter, and there are several chips in the base fitter. There is a significantly yellowed overcoat on the lantern, some denting and a small crack in the brass top.

Condition: (Good).

Item Dimensions: 5 - 1/2" x 5 - 1/2" x 10 - 1/2".
