A double-guard No. 39 brass-top lantern made by C T Ham. The lid is embossed "Erie R R." The bayonet base is correct for this model and has a No. 1 "pick wick" lard screw affixed. The chimney looks to have been poorly transplanted onto the lid reflector. The No. 39 flashed red extended base globe is beautifully embossed with the Erie Diamond logo in average relief. Color translucence is very good. The frame shows surface rust and poor soldering work at the chimney joint. There is a slight wobble when sat on a flat surface. The frame is straight and tight.
