A beautiful cast iron round number plate from A5s-class "76." This locomotive was built in 1917 at PRR's Juniata Works in Altoona, PA, construction no. 3183, and sold for scrap in October, 1948. The plate shows newer black field paint with yellow border and numerals. Back of plate has newer black paint and "201445" and "X10010" embossed. There are three stud mounting positions as expected, with evidence that the plate was torch-burned off of the smoke box door at the scrapping venue.

Condition: (8.0).

Item Dimensions: 16 - 3/4" x 16 - 3/4" x 4 - 3/4".
