High condition Third Model 1873 made by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1886. Plain 24" round blued factory Winchester Proof Steel barrel with Winchester 2-line address and King's Patent markings, chambered in .44 W.C.F., with scarce blued button tubular magazine. Standard blade front sight with 22 rear sight. Case-hardened third model solid frame with blued loading gate, case-colored hammer, and lever with plain trigger. Standard configuration walnut stock with case-hardened crescent trapdoor steel buttplate containing a Winchester 4-piece steel cleaning rod. Comes with Cody research confirming manufacture and options. PROVENANCE: Ex. Wes Adams Collection. CONDITION: 98% barrel blue with 98% remaining case colors. 98% varnish. Small handling marks and dings overall. Bright bore with visible rifling and crisp mechanics. Possibly one of the best Winchester 1873s in existence.
