High collector quality Model 1873 made by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1882. Plain 20" round blued factory Winchester Steel barrel with Winchester 2-line address and King's patent in .44-40 with a full length blued tubular magazine. Standard front sight with later style graduated flip rear sight. Blued 3rd model frame with saddle ring, plain trigger, and brass unmarked elevator. Standard carbine configuration walnut stocks with case hardened hammer, trigger, lever, and carbine style buttplate with trapdoor, a containing Winchester 3-piece cleaning rod inside. Comes with Cody Research confirming manufacture and configuration. CONDITION: 95% fading barrel blue with light freckling and some discoloration along sight plane with 98% remaining action blue; nice saddle ring shadow. 98% varnish. Small handling marks and dings overall. Bright bore with visible rifling and crisp mechanics. Light handling marks. This gun could possibly be unfired.
