Manufactured 1977. Traditional configuration Series 70 with serrated ramp front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with Colt's MK IV / Series 70 rollmark, right side with Government Model designation. Frame with gold infilled serial number on right, a common practice to increase visibility, and Colt's address information. Small parts comprise narrow serrated hammer, left side only safety, slide release, short trigger, and magazine release. Long 1911A1 grip safety, and arched serrated mainspring housing. Fully checkered walnut grips with flush-set golden Colt medallions. Full blue magazine with "COLT / .45 AUTO". Gun has been engraved in a classic scroll pattern with a punch dot background, signed under the grips "COLT ENG". Housed in the Colt woodgrain box with Styrofoam insert, endlabel correctly identifying this gun by serial number with Class B Scroll engraving. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining virtually all of the factory bluing, with only very minor marks, probably shop marks; no takedown mark. Engraving is crisp and attractive. Stocks are excellent, commensurate with condition of metal. Mechanically fine, bore is very good and appears to possibly be test fired only. A very attractive pistol.
