Shipped November 5th, 1926, as a single gun shipment to Wm. H. Hoegee Company of Los Angeles, California, as a blued 7 - 1/2" New Service chambered in .45 Colt. Factory brushed blue 7 - 1/2" round barrel stamped on the top with 2-line Colt address and on the left with "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT". Adjustable gold bead target front sight. Matted flat top target frame with adjustable u-notch rear sight. Grip straps checkered and fitted with attractive and desirable 2-piece checkered walnut fleur-de-lis pattern grips inset with deep dish Rampant Colt medallions. A 2016 dated factory research letter is included with this revolver. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory-applied blue is retained throughout, other than a few minor handling marks. Only a ghost turn line present. Grips are likewise very fine, displaying sharp checkering with only minor handling marks. Mirror bore. Tight lock up. A magnificent example of the crown jewel of Colt's pre-War double action revolver line.
