Shipped March 30, 1917 as a single gun shipment to George Worthington Co. of Cleveland, Ohio, for W. C. Andrews. The included factory letter specifies the gun shipped with blued finish, checkered walnut stocks, .45 Colt chambering, and 7 - 1/2" barrel. Configuration remains as shipped. The 7 - 1/2" tapered round barrel is stamped on the top with 2-line Colt address and on the left "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT. Blade front sight and frame notch rear. Lanyard loop butt with a pair of very attractive and desirable checkered walnut fleur-de-lis grips inset with deep dish rampant Colt medallions. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory brushed blue is retained throughout, other than some high edge silvering and a light turn line. Grips are very fine with only minor handling marks. Especially fine, bright bore. Fine mechanics and tight lockup. A very fine and attractive pre-war double action Colt.
