Circa 2019. A virtually new pair of semi-rounded Italian-proofed and made sporting guns with 30" demi-bloc barrels. Barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers and ejectors. Barrels fit with slightly raised matte solid tapered ribs. Ribs with brass front beads, extensions, and are numbered "1" and "2" in gold near breech. Top barrels read "FLLI PIOTTI ITALY" on left. Barrel flats with Italian proofs, individual serial numbers "A123" and "A124", "CD", "CH", "FLLI PIOTTI", and "12-70". Chokes are Multi; Briley. Coin finished sidelock actions fit with rib extension lock-up, semi-rounded, and with invisible (disguised) pins and single inertia triggers. Top levers are scroll engraved, checkered, and numbered "1" and "2" in gold. Safe slides are also checkered and engraved. "S" is in gold. Guns are non-auto safe. Lovely scroll and bouquets engraving adorn the action. "FLLi Piotti" in banner on lock plates. Bottoms of actions with matching scroll and with game scenes of soaring grouse over field on the number "1" gun and approaching grouse on the number "2" both scenes are in vignettes. Lovely engraving orchestrated by G.A. Contessa, whose signature is on the trigger plate alongside the right hand rolled edged trigger guard. Guards extend to bottom strap which bears the guns individual serial numbers. Handsome deluxe stocks with finely checkered semi-pistol grips have smoky lines and are slightly feather-crotched. Toe lines with gold ovals that are engraved "JSD" in script and butts are completed with skip line checkering. Guns live in brown leather maker's case with "Flli Piotti" inner leather case label. Case with snap caps, oil bottle, cleaning rod, Piotti purchase certificate in leather wallet with manual. Guns come with Briley extra chokes. CONDITION: Excellent. Like New. Barrels are excellent inside and out. Actions are strong and clean. Triggers and ejectors are excellent. Stocks and forends are excellent with light and slight handling marks. Case excellent. Excellent Pair!
