Circa 2006. A bespoke and virtually new over and under sporting game gun with 29" nitro proof barrels. Barrels are built with ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers, and a raised hand-filed rib with round steel front bead sight. Right barrel wing reads "HOLLAND & HOLLAND", "LONDON". Left wing reads "HOLLAND & HOLLAND", "LONDON". Barrel flats read "LP 06", "NP", "12", "70MM", "1200 BAR". Bottom barrels stamped with serial number "50951". Barrels are fit with Briley Thin Wall Multi Chokes. The coin-finished hand detachable dropout trigger action is handsomely engraved by Holland's house engraver "A.G.". Left side plate is engraved with pheasants flying at the edge of woods and field, right plate shows a pair of quail flying over field, and bottom action showing a single woodcock flying through woods in a vignette. Both plates are engraved with "HOLLAND & HOLLAND at base. Game scenes and action are supported with fancy acanthus scroll. Action's single trigger is protected by an acanthus leaf floral engraved trigger guard. The gun's top lever with similar engraving and right-hand checkered thumb. Gun is auto-safe, "S" is engraved. Barrel selector is built integral to the safe slide. The handsome and deluxe darkish golden brown Turkish walnut stock has been built with a Prince of Wales grip with point pattern checkering and hard rubber grip cap. Stock belly with gold oval "JSD" engraved and butt stock finished by a blacked pigskin leather covered pad. The sporting game forend has matched checkering, Anson push release, and engraving on its exterior steel parts. Interior iron metal with serial number engraved. Gun resides safely in its custom Americase with "HOLLAND & HOLLAND", "Established London 1835" stitched on inner lid. Case comes with extra choke tubes in container along with keys for case. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain mostly all of their original color. Action, ejectors, and trigger are all sound. Stock and Forend excellent with a very slight bruise to forend at left near tip. Excellent gun!
