Circa 2010. A very nice modern era Italian made hammer game gun with exposed hammers and 32" nitro proofed chopper lump barrels. Barrels are appointed with extractors and hand-filed matte tapered rib with round brass front sight. The barrels are choked Full in left barrel and Modified in right. Barrel flats stamped with Italian proofs, "A159", "20-76" and "CF". Barrel bottoms stamped "15.8", KG1.400", "15.8" and proof marks. Left barrel reads "FLLI PIOTTI - ITALY-". Coin finished low-profiled hammered action with rose bouquets and scrolls engraved by A. Castelli. The engraver's signature is on the right side of the trigger plate. An engraved right-edge rolled trigger guard protects double triggers, front articulated, and extends to an engraved long bottom strap with the guns serial number engraved. The action's water table is stamped with Italian proof marks, "FLLI PIOTI", serial number, and the Piotti logo. The well-figured deluxe quality stock has a classic straight hand grip, drop points, fine checkering, an engraved stock oval with two letters in script, and a 5/8" leather-covered recoil pad. The beavertail forend is similarly checkered with an Anson-style push button release. The shotgun resides in its Nizzoli-made single leather case with Flli Piotti's black and gold leather label affixed to the inside of the lid. The case is accessorized with a round nickel oil bottle, a pair of Flli Piotti nickel snap caps, and a bottle of oil equipped with a fine tip for precision oiling. CONDITION: Excellent, as new. Barrels with mainly all of their original color. Bores are bright and shiny, triggers are crisp, and extractors function well. Minor handling/storage marks on buttstock and forend. Case is very good with a few minor handling/storage marks. Unique and beautiful gun.
