An extremely rare Parker AHE Grade made by Parker Brothers Gun Company in 1914. 1 of only 167 AHE Grades built, 1 of 12 in 12 gauge, and 1 of 48 with 30" barrels, according to "The Parker Story". Gun is also noted in the Parker Serialization book. Gun is fitted with 30" Acme Steel barrels with matted Parker addressed rib, ejectors, 2 - 3/4" chambers, and Full and Full chokes with single bead sight. Case hardened No. 2 Frame special ordered with modest scroll engraving, no gold, double triggers, non-automatic safety, and blued scroll engraved trigger guard. Special ordered figured Circassian walnut floral pattern checkered pistol grip stock with a scroll engraved skeleton steel buttplate, hard rubber grip cap, and a brass oval vanity plate. The stock has checkered side panels with fleur-de-lis tails. Matching standard AHE checkering pattern splinter forearm with case-hardened floral engraved latch release. Comes in an Abercrombie and Fitch leather trunk case with snap caps. PGCA research verifies all options and shipping info. PROVENANCE: Per the factory letter, ordered by Charles Parker Co. 32 Warren Street, New York, to be shipped to S.W.C. Trexler at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia. Ordered November 25th, 1914, and shipped February 3rd, 1915. CONDITION: 85% original barrel blue with heavy carry and usage wear, handling areas worn to a silvery patina with a mixture of small scratches overall. Action worn to a total silvery patina with some light freckling, screws turned, and left floorplate screw damaged. The trigger guard is worn completely silver. Wood has traces of original varnish with usage dings and marks with significant checkering left. Mirror bores with tight lock-up. Good mechanics. Case is in excellent condition. A rare, well-used, honest Parker with much life left.
