During the transition between the M24 and the M2010, a number of M24 receivers were refurbished and sold. Remington offered the initial run to snipers and then others based on a priority system. The stocks were kept in the same configuration as they were when they were turned in, so they vary; this one is painted desert tan. Heavy profile barrel with iron sight island, "REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY INC. ILION. NY 7.62 NATO", "XJ" at shank. Receiver with serial number, QR code, and "REMINGTON / MODEL 700 M24". HS Precision stock with flared forearm, sling bows, harris bipod, HS knob adjustable buttpad. Mounted with an Osprey Global 10-40 scope with mildot reticle. CONDITION: Very good as used, retaining the vast majority of the black with some handling marks and discoloration throughout. Stock with handling marks and rubs throughout. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with some mild frosting. Glass is clear. Finding these rifles on the open market is exceptionally difficult.
