Made by Colt Firearms Company in 1968, 1 of 7500 made. Presented to the actor Chuck Connors of the 1960s show "The Rifleman" in 1974 by Colt "in appreciation". It should be noted that in 1973 Chuck Connors was asked by then-President Nixon to come meet Soviet Prime Minister Leonid Brezhnev (who was an avid admirer of Connors), where Connors presented the Soviet Leader with a pair of Colt Single Action revolvers. Was this gift a way of Colt saying "thanks"?; the answer is lost to history. Blued slide barrel with Belleau Woods scene on left, World War I Commemorative banner and Colt address on right. Standard blued frame with rosewood grips with World War I Medallions and "BELLEAU WOOD" banner. Front strap engraved "PRESENTED BY COLT FIREARMS TO CHUCK CONNORS IN APPRECIATION 1974". Comes in blue plastic factory later-style case with 2 magazines and Colt factory research detailing the history of this gun. CONDITION: 98% original finish with light handling marks. Great bore and mechanics; possibly test fired only. Neat piece of Hollywood history.
