Circa 2001 as per BP date code. Vent rib with machine-cut anti-glare matting equipped with a steel front bead sight. Mono-bloc barrels, top with typical Beretta warning regarding manual on right side and designation for 28 gauge, 2 - 3/4" 28" barrels on right, Beretta information over chamber. Barrels with modern Italian nitro proofs for a 2 - 3/4" 28 gauge with nominal 13.9 IBD in both bores and Excelsior steel designation. Threaded for chokes, currently Improved Modified in top barrel and Improved Cylinder in bottom. Light engraving at blocks and breeches. Round nose forearm with 2 panels of point pattern checking on either side, Deeley latch release, and an inset golden device with "PV" monogram over cross florals. Exterior iron with shaded engraving of acanthus scroll interwoven with florals, interior with matching serial number and last 3 matching numbers stamped into wood. Action with nearly complete coverage of very attractive diminutive shaded scroll, with interspersed single florals and a few bouquets. 3 devices, one on each side and one on bottom, read "P. Beretta Giubileo". Engraving is double signed by Giovanelli and Coresani at trigger guard. Single selective inertia driven trigger with barrel selector mounted to automatic safety tab. Long tang trigger guard protects trigger and is engraved en suite. Nicely streaked walnut stock with English straight grip is checkered about the wrist in point pattern with mullered borders. A 1/4" (measured from center) wooden extension has been mounted and fits color well. Housed in a Beretta Giubileo case with Beretta slipcover identifying this gun by serial number and containing paperwork, oil, unmounted sling swivel set (one mounted on screw, other on ring for affixing to barrels) and 3 extra chokes: Cylinder, Full, and Modified. CONDITION: Excellent, showing light evidence of field use. Barrels with virtually all of their bluing with some very minor handling marks and superficial scratches. Stocks are good with some random dings and marks from the field, none serious, most offensive a long impression on right side of stock, and free of cracks or chips. Action is excellent, bright, with crisp, well cut engraving and some superficial scratches. Mechanically fine, ejectors are in time, bores are excellent, bright and shiny. A gun ready for upland.
