Fabulous condition Browning Model 1917 tripod manufactured by Crown, Cork, and Seal Company of Baltimore. Original data plate is present as well as leather tool pouch. These very scarce tripods are immediately recognizable from the aluminum elevation adjustment wheel and fine traverse dial visible when viewed from the right. I have had owners of Browning water cooled machine guns state that they have only seen this tripod in pictures. 1 original wooden ammunition box is included with this lot. CONDITION: Near excellent as repainted with fastidious attention to detail. Mechanism is smooth. Leather is extremely fine. Data plate and screws near excellent. PROVENANCE: Robert Segal Collection.
