Outstanding "US" marked specimen of the Maremont M60D machine gun in fabulous original condition. This is the version made with the capacity to be mounted on a pintle application for helicopter use. Makes for very convenient mounting for recreational machine gun shooting as well. Top of receiver is marked "MACHINE GUN / 7.62 MM M60D / SACO-LOWELL N.E. DIV / MAREMONT CORP. / U.S.". The Maremont M-60 has a renowned reputation and is a "must have" for the late 20th-century U.S. machine gun collector/enthusiast. Electronic registry simply indicates "US" as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some slight loss of finish in the feedway of the feed tray, and with the slightest loss of finish at contact points within the feed cover. Composite parts finish near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a full-auto only machine gun. Pretty much impossible to upgrade the condition of this fabulous firearm for the modern U.S. military collector/enthusiast. Please see other M-60 machine gun accessories offered in this same auction.
