Circa 1905. An English made 20 gauge sidelock ejector shotgun. The 28" round blacked barrels are nicely fit with ejectors and a tapered, smooth, concave game rib fit with a steel bead front sight. Modern London Nitro proof with the proper reproof marks from 1987, modern proved for 2 - 3/4" cartridges. Chokes are Improved Cylinder in both barrels. The coin finished action is adorned with full coverage rose and scroll engraving. Action is fit with double triggers, cocking indicators, and an automatic safety with "SAFE" ahead of the blued, engraved, and checkered slide safety. Triggers are protected by a blacked and engraved guard with scrolls and serial number. Best quality walnut stock with traditional English straight hand grip, drop points, vacant stock oval, and a 1/2" leather covered recoil pad. Splinter forend with Anson style release. The shotgun resides in a very compact leather case with accessories. The case has a paper "LINSLEY BROTHERS" label on the interior of the lid along with a small paper card. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel bores are bright and shiny and ring well. Barrels are slightly loose on face. Triggers are crisp. Slight handling marks on buttstock and forend. Case is good with handling and use marks. A nice gun to add to any collection.
