CT date code for 2018 manufacture. Monobloc barrels with "Rizzini Marcheno VT Italy" on left side of top tube, right side with "Steel Shot". Rifle side of chamber with ""12 ga 3 Magnum" designation. Underside of bottom barrel with Fierce Products importer information, barrel flat with modern Italian nitro proofs for a 12 gauge with 3" chambers. Solid rib with machine cut matting and brass bead front sight. Threaded for choke tubes, currently fit with Improved Cylinder in top barrel and Cylinder in bottom, both marked for steel shot. Round nose forearm with wave pattern checkering, Anson style plunger release, and acanthus scroll engraving on exterior iron and inescutcheon; interior with matching serial number. Round body action is engraved in near complete coverage of intertwining acanthus scroll en suite with forearm iron, with carved fences en suite. Left and right sides are engraved with game scenes of quail taking to the air in a meadowed scene. Bottom has "Round Body EL" subtly woven into scroll. Single selective inertia driven trigger protected by a trigger guard with long tang that reaches to Prince of Wales pistol grip; signed "Bottega C. Giovanelli" and "Made in Italy" flanking trigger guard. Stock of an interesting partially burled walnut with 2 panels of point-and-wave checkering at the wrist, and a checkered butt. Housed in a Negini case for gun, factory paperwork, and spare choke tubes; Full, Improved Modified, and Modified (Modified also marked for Steel Shot). CONDITION: Overall very good, retaining virtually all of the factory finishes, with some minor handling marks from the field. Stocks are excellent, with a couple spots of discoloration and knotting that appear natural to the grain more than flaws. Mechanically fine, ejectors slightly out of time; top fires first. Bores are very good with some mild firing residue. Case and accessories excellent.
