Originally made by Parker Gun Company in 1904. This extremely rare and desirable 28-gauge gun is only one of 6 "DH" Grades made with Damascus steel barrels. Parker Serialization Book does not list this gun. 26" Damascus steel labeled with "Damascus Steel" rib roll die mark on Parker addressed matted rib, extractors, and bead front sight with border breech engraving. Barrels are choked Modified and Improved Modified with 2 - 1/2" chambers. Case hardened finish "0" boxlock action with full coverage DH Grade style dog and bird vignette scene engraved frame with non-automatic safety and factory double triggers with blued floral engraved trigger guard with serial number. Checkered walnut pistol grip stock with carved panels with diamond tails with steel Parker skeleton buttplate, German silver vanity stock plate, Parker logo grip cap, and matching checkered splinter forearm with latch release. PGCA letter confirms configuration as a 28 gauge DH hammerless with 26" Damascus barrels and pistol grip stock. It was ordered by James Bell of Middlefield, Connecticut, on June 4th, 1910, and shipped on June 6th, 1910. CONDITION: Overall, 98% as restored barrel finish with insignificant handling marks. 85% vivid factory case colors with sharp markings. Good wood with 95% restored finish with small handling marks and sharp checkering. Good mechanics with tight lock up and a lever way to right with fantastic screws. Mirror bores. A very eye-catching shotgun and an excellent once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase a rare Parker.
