One of the finest examples of an American Wisteria leaded glass table lamp on patinated bronze tree base. This lamp came from the original collection of renowned Tiffany Studios expert and author, Dr. Egon Neustadt (see notarized document). The 18" diameter shade depicts Wisteria blossoms in rich, complex blues, which descend to deep purple at the bottom. The shade has a mix of some extremely complex glass, including confetti and streamer glass. There is wonderful scum glass in the green leaves, very consistent with the glass of Tiffany Studios. The lead branch work at the top of the shade is beautifully and artfully done, with a wonderful brown/red patina with verdigris accents. The shade bears a tag on the inner leadwork, reading "Tiffany Studios New York." The shade has a prominent rattle when tapped. The shade rests on an equally impressive and monumental patinated bronze tree-form base. The four-socket base is finished in a reddish-brown patina. The underside is signed on the base plate "Tiffany Studios New York 30250", in font consistent with Tiffany Studios. CONDITION: Excellent condition.
